Hereford FC’s six-game unbeaten run came to an end on Tuesday evening when promotion-chasing Brackley Town took home all three points courtesy of a 2-0 win.

“It was a tough game,” central defender Jordan Cullinane-Liburd told the club’s website. “Brackley are where they are in the table for a reason.

“They are a team that has been together for a long time and stopped us playing the way we would have liked and were difficult to play against as they broke very quickly.

“I felt that we kept them quiet for much of the first half and then the own goal after the break was unfortunate to give them a two-goal advantage.

“We know that if we keep trying to play the right way, we’ll get results. There were spells on Tuesday where we played some decent football and if we can step up a gear from that in the next couple of games, we’ll give ourselves a chance of getting something from them.”
