Reise Allassani took just six minutes to get back in the goal groove for Dulwich Hamlet – with manager Gavin Rose delighted to have the former Crystal Palace attacker back at Champion Hill.

The 23-year-old scored 19 times in 33 matches for the non-league club in the 2017-18 season. That led to him joining Coventry City.

Allassani has struggled for game time at the Sky Blues and finished the end of the last campaign at Woking, bagging five goals in 14 appearances as they won the National League South play-offs.

Rose admits that the former England U17 international had been keen to come back to Dulwich for a period of time.

“We stayed in touch for the duration of his time at Coventry,” said the Hamlet manager.

“Last season he wanted to come back when they told him he could go on loan, but I didn’t think our team at the time would give him an opportunity to do well.”
