Eastleigh manager Ben Strevens has wished Joe Tomlinson well as the left-back joins Peterborough United.
The 21-year-old made a huge impression at the National League club last season, scoring 12 goals to finish top scorer and scooping the Young Player of the Season and Supporters’ Player of the Season accolades.
After it was announced today that the former Southampton youngster is joining Championship newcomers Peterborough on a three-year deal, Strevens told Eastleigh’s website:
“I’d like to thank Joe for his efforts this season. It was clear from when he joined that he was a talented player with a great attitude on and off the pitch.
“Of course, we would have loved to keep him at the club, but the opportunity to make the step up to the Championship is fantastic for him, and we wouldn’t want to stand in his way.”
