Sam Ricketts says Wrexham have “earned the right” to be involved in a top of the table clash, report The Leader.
The Reds, currently unbeaten in 11 games and third in the National League, entertain leaders Leyton Orient at The Racecourse on Saturday.
Just one point separate the sides and although it promises to be a big test, Ricketts believes Wrexham, who haven’t lost at home this season, can pick up a prized victory if the Reds play like they are capable of.
“They are the games you relish,” said Ricketts.
“At the start of the season, what do you want to be? Do you want to be fighting in a relegation battle or promotion.
“We always take the promotion one so the players have earned the right for this to be a big game because of their performance in the first 20 games.
“It is a big game for us but it is big game for Orient as well.
“They are coming to our home ground where we have played very well this season.”
