Workington’s David Symington has agreed terms for the 2017-18 season and put pen to paper on a new deal.

After his first full season with the club, he ended the campaign as top scorer with 15 goals, a tally which included his first hat-trick in senior football.

When he scored in the play-off game at Stourbridge, it took his total to 14 – one more than last year’s top scorer, Scott Allison. Scott then opened the scoring in the Cumberland Cup final and, with just minutes of the season remaining, they were neck and neck on fourteen goals each.
