The future of loan striker Elliott Romain is shaping up as one of the key early issues of head coach Gary Owers’ summer rebuilding programme at relegated Torquay United.
The Gulls are throwing some serious money at trying to get out of the Vanarama National League South at the first attempt. On the back of the club’s commitment to stay ‘full-time’, Owers has made a series of tempting offers to six men he is trying to keep next season – Player of the Year Luke Young, goalkeeper Vincent Dorel, centre-back Sean McGinty, left-back Liam Davis and strikers Brett Williams and Ruairi Keating.
Striker Jamie Reid is already under-contract for next season.
