Torquay United manager Gary Johnson says his team have to make sure their dramatic defeat in the FA Cup yesterday doesn’t ‘break their season up’, report Devon Live.

Torquay, top of the National League by five points, were 2-0 up in the first half of their first round game against League Two visitors Crawley Town, but drew 3-3 at the end of a ‘90 minutes’ that was extended by 18 minutes after a long stoppage following a serious injury suffered by the Crawley goalkeeper Tom McGill.

In extra time, Torquay led 5-3 – but Crawley scored another three goals for a 6-5 win, with former Exeter City player Tom Nichols celebrating a hat trick.
