Manager Gary Johnson will tell his Torquay United players to ignore the National League table before they take on bottom club Ebbsfleet United in Kent on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

The Gulls, fresh from back-to-back wins at Stockport County (4-0) and home to AFC Fylde (2-1), have their sights set on the play-off zone, while their opponents are fighting to haul themselves out of trouble.

But Johnson stresses: “There is next to nothing in this league, from top to bottom.

“Every team has got a result in them, and Ebbsfleet beat Barnet (6th) 3-0 a few weeks back.

“Now we are on two wins, of course I want to get it to three or four, but these are both difficult games this week (United travel to Notts County on Saturday) and nothing is given.”
