Torquay United will be the first option for Saikou Janneh if his club Bristol City decide to loan the young striker out again, says Gulls manager Gary Johnson.
There has been speculation that Janneh, 19, might be poised for a second spell at Plainmoor, now that he is back in training after knee ligament surgery.
The Robins starlet scored 18 goals in 35 appearances for Torquay last season, when he played a major role in the club’s National League South Championship campaign and won their Young Player Of The Year award.
Janneh cannot join another EFL club until the January transfer window, but he could move to a National League team.
“If he (Janneh) goes out, there is every chance of him coming back here,” said Johnson.
“He’s kept in touch with the lads here. He would love to come back.”
