Torquay United are the first side to book their place in the National League play-off final.

The Gulls were 4-2 winners after extra-time in their home game with Notts County this afternoon.

The returning Danny Wright put Gary Johnson’s team in front inside the first minute, but Rúben Rodrigues levelled for Notts a few minutes before the break.

Torquay were back in front with Wright’s second at the beginning of the second half, with Adam Chicksen equalising soon after.

Into extra-time and the home side ultimately put the game out of reach with a goal from Asa Hall and a penalty from Dean Moxey.

Torquay now await the winners of tomorrow’s semi-final between Hartlepool United and Stockport County, with the final at Ashton Gate next Sunday.
