Torquay United have signed Czech central defender Jakub Sokolik.
Sokolik, 24, joins after leaving Plymouth Argyle in January. In total he made 20 appearances for the Pilgrims.
He is a former Banik Ostrava and Liverpool youth player who also played for EFL sides Yeovil Town and Southend United, and represented his country at U16 and U17 level.
“We’ve taken the opportunity to add to the squad and make sure that we’re as strong as possible going into the later stages of the season,” said TUFC head coach, Gary Owers.
“With Josh [Gowling] out [injured] we’re a centre-half down and Jacob being a free agent and based just along the road in Plymouth, I thought it was a good match. I spoke to him and I’m pleased that he is here.”
