Torquay United assistant manager Martin Kuhl has left the club to pursue an Academy coaching position closer to his family home.

Kuhl joined the Gulls with boss Gary Owers in September last year and has been absolutely faultless in his work-rate and commitment to the United cause over the past 10 months, the club say.

News on a potential successor to join the coaching staff will be announced in due course and the club also say that ‘all of us at Plainmoor would like to thank Martin for his services at Torquay United and wish him every success in his future career.’

“I would like to thank Gary, players, staff and supporters for my time at Torquay United,” said Kuhl. “I had some good experiences during my time at the club and sorry it didn’t end on a better note last season. I wish everyone at the club the best of luck for next season.”
