Torquay United have decided not to appeal against captain Asa Hall’s red card in Saturday’s 2-1 National League win at Dover Athletic, although they still believe that the decision was harsh, to say the least.

Hall was sent off in the 88th minute by Suffolk referee Alan Dale for ‘handball’ after a header by Whites striker Alfie Pavey hit the underside of the bar and bounced down onto Hall’s arm.

The 32-year-old midfielder will be suspended for one match, Saturday’s televised home game against Aldershot Town (5.20pm).
