Left-back Ibou Touray is the third new signing for Salford City during what is turning out to be a busy close season
Touray is a Liverpool-born left-back who started out with Everton’s academy, before progressing to the under-21 side as a first-year professional.
On leaving Goodison Park, he signed for National League side Chester FC where he clocked up nineteen first-team appearances.
A move to Welsh Premier side Rhyl followed and he moved back to English football with Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit Nantwich Town during the 2016/17 season.
Touray made over forty appearances for the Dabbers during a campaign that took the Cheshire side to the NPL’s Premier Division play-offs.
He is a quick, attacking full-back who can also operate as a wing-back and makes the move to Moor Lane after agreeing a two-year deal with the club.
He also has the distinction of being a full international, winning two caps for Gambia since 2016.
