Championship side Ipswich Town have confirmed the signing of striker Kieffer Moore from Forest Green Rovers on an eighteen-month deal.

The 24-year-old, who has previously played in the Championship for Yeovil, is understood to have cost a nominal fee with his contract up at the end of the season.

The frontman was at Portman Road yesterday to undergo a medical and watched the afternoon’s match from the directors’ box.

Torquay-born Moore, who is 6`5” tall, started his career with Truro City before moving on to Dorchester Town, Yeovil Town – with whom he played in the Championship in 2013/14 in which he scored 5 goals in twenty-four appearances in all competitions – and then Norwegian side Viking before signing for Forest Green in January last year, signing an eighteen-month deal.

He joined another National League outfit, Torquay United, on loan in November.

With Forest Green he has scored 7 goals in seventeen starts and seventeen sub appearances, while he netted 5 goals in four games for Torquay including a hat-trick.
