Tranmere Rovers are back in the EFL after beating Boreham Wood 2-1 at Wembley in the Vanarama National League play-off final.

Rovers returned after three years out of the League despite a huge early blow at Wembley. Liam Ridehalgh was sent off after less than a minute for a two-footed challenge on Ricky Shakes, but Micky Mellon’s side took the lead just five minutes later through Andy Cook.

Bruno Andrade levelled in first-half stoppage time before James Norwood’s header on 80 minutes did the job for Tranmere.
