Plans have been announced by Chesterfield FC to honour former player Jordan Sinnott.
Those plans include a proposed pre-season mini-tournament, which will feature the Spireites, as well as his parent club Alfreton Town and loan club Matlock Town. Funds from the tournament, set to be hosted at Chesterfield’s Proact Stadium, will also be donated to a suitable cause.
Tributes to the 25-year-old, who died last weekend, have been flooding in over recent days, and Chesterfield also say that members of Jordan’s family are being invited to attend their next home match, against Wrexham, as guests of the club.
An image of the midfielder will feature on the front cover of the matchday programme, with plans to hold a minute’s applause before kick-off, and after 25 minutes, to mark Jordan’s age.
