Gainsborough Trinity have welcomed striker Alex Simmons to the Northolme.
The former Lincoln City youngster spent time on loan at FC Halifax Town last season where he scored 8 goals, including in Gainsborough’s 3-2 win over the Shaymen in September.
The 21-year-old, who is the son of former Lincoln City striker Tony Simmons, came through the youth ranks at Sincil Bank and signed a professional deal in 2014.
As well as the Shaymen, where he had two stints, he has also had loan spells at Grantham Town, Boston United and Spalding United.
