Truro City boss Lee Hodges has given his verdict on our 2-0 set-back at Eastbourne Borough on Saturday.

“I have mixed emotions,” he admitted. “We never got going during the opening 45 minutes and it was so disappointing. We found ourselves two goals down at the break and had it not been for Martin Rice it could have easily been more.

“There were a few choice words said during the interval and it had the desired effect as we were totally different in the second half. We worked hard and played with good energy and determination but we can’t afford to give our opponents a two-goal start before we get going.

“We’re back at home on Saturday and I want us to start the game as we ended the previous one. We need to come out of the blocks with purpose and be on the front-foot as we look to make it three wins in a row here.”
