Truro City get the 2017/18 campaign underway on home soil on Saturday as we take on Welling United (kick-off 3.00pm).
Manager, Lee Hodges, is keen to make home advantage count as he looks to make a winning start to the season.
“It’s good that we are able to start the new season on home soil,” he said. “We want to make our home games count and ensure that this is a difficult place for opponents to come to.
“I want to see us hit the ground running on Saturday and put in a battling performance that will yield all three points.
“It won’t be easy, of course. There have been a lot of changes at Welling United since the end of last season and with a new manager at the helm, they will provide a tricky first challenge for us.
“For us it’s about going out there and doing ourselves proud. We want to get as many points on the board as possible in these early weeks in order to give us something to build upon in what is going to be a highly competitive League this year.”
