Truro City manager Lee Hodges has resigned from his position with the Vanarama National League South club.

Hodges leaves along with his assistant Chris Todd. The news comes as a particular shock as both Hodges and Todd signed new two-year contracts this summer.

The management team reportedly told Truro City chairman Peter Masters of their decision ahead of last night’s 1-1 draw with Weston-super-Mare.

“I do not want to say too much. It is not just one thing, but a culmination of different things,” Hodges told Cornwall Live.

“As things stand this was our last game in charge and we would like to thank everyone including all the fans and players who have supported us.”
