Truro City have secured the services of Tom Owen-Evans on loan from League Two outfit, Newport County, until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old is a powerful attack-minded midfielder who was born in Bristol and came through the ranks at Newport County to earn a professional contract with the Welsh outfit. He made his Football League debut for County in April 2015 and has been on the fringes of the first-team since then, whilst also having a spell out on loan at Gloucester City where he gained much-needed competitive game-time.

Last season saw him score the winning goal in a game against Exeter City before earning a new two-year contract at the end of the campaign as he continued to make pleasing progress.
