Truro City have completed the signing of highly-rated goalkeeper Harvey Rivers from Evesham United.
The 22-year-old came through the ranks at Cheltenham Town before going on to serve the likes of Gloucester City, Hereford and Cirencester Town.
“I am delighted to have this opportunity to step up a couple of levels and show what I can do,” he said. “I’ve played against Leigh’s previous team quite a few times over recent seasons so he must have been impressed with me.
“This is a great chance for me and I am determined to grab it with both hands. Obviously I am sad to leave Evesham United as I have enjoyed my time at the club and there are some good people there.
“I played a few games at this level for Gloucester City when I was younger, so with my added experience since then, I feel that I can hit the ground running here. It will be great linking up with Nick Grimes; he’s a good friend of mine and Truro have got themselves a talented player, as he proved on his debut at the weekend.
“Hopefully I can come in and help get Truro moving up the table.”
Meanwhile youngster Jojo Wollacott has been recalled from his loan by parent club Bristol City.
