With their competitive season completed, Tuffley Rovers are on the trail of a new first team manager, ahead of their 2016/17 campaign.
Shayne Bradley had taken on the role, on an interim basis, following Warren Evans’ resignation in March, but the club are keen to look at all options before making what they
hope will be a long-term appointment.
“We are looking to recruit a manager who can both develop the players we already have at the club and also bring in some new faces to add a little more quality” said Club Secretary Neil Spiller.
Rovers finished the season in 17th position in the Uhlsport Hellenic League, Premier Division and whilst this is technically a relegation position, their fate is not yet sealed.
“We are aware that there have been many occasions when a team has not been relegated from a similar position” said Spiller,”either because other sides don’t have the facilities required at this level or because they choose not to make the step into what is a very competitive level of football”
Despite this potential uncertainty, Rovers are keen to appoint a new manager and are inviting those interested to contact the club.
“We’re aiming to appoint the new manager well before the pre-season period, so that they have the maximum time possible to plan for the new season”, Spiller explained.
Anyone interested in taking up the role should contact Spiller, via the club’s e-mail account firstname.lastname@example.org on or before 4pm on 15 May 2016.
