Bradford Park Avenue have lost two of their loan players.

Loan defender Evan Gumbs has been recalled by National League side Tranmere Rovers, whilst Corbin Shires has returned to Mansfield Town.

Gumbs joined Avenue on loan on September 6th, and was due to stay until after the AFC Telford United match this weekend.

However, he was called back by Tranmere, making an appearance as an unused substitute as Rovers were defeated 1-0 by Gateshead.

The centre-back played four times in an Avenue shirt, his last appearance coming in the 4-0 loss to FC Halifax Town on September 24th.

Shires, also a central defender, returns to parent club Mansfield following the end of his loan spell, having played just twice in green and white.

He featured in the away match at Brackley Town early in September but limped off, going on to play just once more in the Emirates FA Cup defeat to Salford City.

Shires featured for Mansfield’s under-21 side whilst still at Avenue when they faced Grimsby Town a week ago, before being an unused substitute in their Checkatrade Trophy clash with Port Vale on Tuesday.
