Jordan Gent and Ryan Sharman have become the latest to agree terms with Cambridge City as boss Robbie Nightingale continues with preparations for the new season.

The two players came from Soham with Nightingale following his appointment last December and follow Ben Robinson in agreeing terms for the new campaign.

Defender Gent has been an instrumental member of the squad since his arrival, forming a formidable centre back partnership with Jordan Williams. Meanwhile Sharman missed the last few weeks of the season through injury but made 8 league appearances scoring once in the match against Kettering at the turn of the year.

City manager Robbie Nightingale said “Both players are massive additions for us and gives everyone another big boost. Everyone knows the quality that Jordan has and he has been another consistent performer for us during the season. Ryan was unfortunate to miss the last few weeks of the campaign through injury, and I genuinely feel we haven’t seen the best of him yet”.

The City manager continues to speak with members of the squad from the campaign that has just finished and hopes to agree terms with others in due course.
