Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division club Ashton United have revealed that Gary Gee and Adam Mather have both signed for Vanarama National League North neighbours Stalybridge Celtic.
Formerly with Stockport County, Woodley Sports and Mossley AFC, Gee is a busy midfielder who has made well over 100 appearances in the Robins’ midfield since joining the club in 2013.
He demonstrated his consistency by making more starts than any other outfield player during the 2015/16.
Mather is a left-sided defender or midfielder who gave sterling service to New Mills, where he made over 250 appearances.
He helped Chorley win promotion from the Northern Premier League in 2014 before joining Bradford Park Avenue, then switching to Hurst Cross in the summer of 2016.
He has also worn the colours of Woodley Sports, Curzon Ashton and Mossley AFC.
