Stourbridge have bolstered their squad with the signings of full-back Darryl Westlake and goalkeeper Ash Malhotra.
Darryl is a 25-year old Sutton Coldfield born full-back with extensive league experience.
He began to his career with Walsall, progressing from the youth ranks into the first team, making his league debut in August 2009. He made over 70 appearances for the Saddlers before moving to Sheffield United in the summer of 2012. In November 2013 he joined Mansfield Town on a month’s loan – an arrangement that was later extended to the end of that season.
After being released by Sheffield United in May 2014, he subsequently made the move north of the border in September 2014 to join Kilmarnock. He spent two seasons at Rugby Park, but an ankle injury restricted his appearances last season.
Having spent some time with Solihull Moors over the summer, he has now made the switch to Amblecote and trained with us this week.
With Tom Hayward heading off to university, we have also registered 26-year old goalkeeper ASH MALHOTRA who will provide welcome back-up to Matt Gould. He has previously played for Bedworth United, Tipton Town and Coventry Sphinx and also represented the Panjab FA.
The Panjab Football Association was recently accepted as a member nation into Conifa (Confederation Of Independent Football Associations), which represents those Football Associations who are not permitted FIFA members.
