Truro City made a double signing ahead of Saturday`s league opener.
The White Tigers have signed Charlie Hardcastle.
The former Plymouth Argyle academy left-back, who can also play on the left-side of midfield, played for South West Peninsula side Vospers Oak Villa last season.
He was Vospers’ top scorer last year with 12 goals, which is a remarkable tally for a left-back.
He was most recently part of Truro boss Lee Hodges’ Plymouth Argyle Development Squad and played in a number of City’s pre-season friendlies.
Veteran 41-year-old goalkeeper Adriano Basso has also signed for the club.
The Brazilian-born Basso started his career with Sao Paolo club Ponte Preta but spent the majority of his career with Bristol City after spells with Atletico Paranense and then Woking.
He made 165 appearances for Bristol City between 2005 and 2010, playing in League One and then the Championship.
After a brief spell at Hull City, Basso moved across the Atlantic, playing most recently for Californian club Corinthians USA.
