Strikers Nathan Tyson and Kristian Dennis are in contention for Notts County when they host Barnet at the weekend.

Following Kane Hemmings’ move to Dundee on Thursday, there was concern over the Magpies’ attacking options with Tyson forced off with an arm injury on Tuesday and Dennis yet to feature this season.

But, at his pre-match press conference, manager Neal Ardley provided a positive update on the duo.

“Nathan has joined in with training but has done non-contact work because his arm is still very swollen,” said the boss.

“Every day it’s getting better and he might need some padding or pain relief to get through but hopefully he will be ok to be involved on Saturday.

“Kristian has trained all week and done a lot of the hard yards he has missed out on recently and looks in good shape.

“If he gets through training on Friday, I’ll certainly be considering him for the squad because of what he brings.”
