Boss Gavin Cowan is refusing to let AFC Telford United rest on their laurels after another New Bucks Head triumph, report the Shropshire Star.

The Bucks beat Brackley Town 2-1 on Tuesday night and are unbeaten after their first four National League North games.

They also beat Southport 1-0 at home, on the opening day, and drawn 0-0 at Kidderminster Harriers and 1-1 at Guiseley.

But Cowan is striving for more.

“I think that’s a testament to us as players and staff, we’re always wanting better,” he said.

“I asked the players their thoughts after the game and they basically told me everything I was going to tell them.

“We’ve got the three points and haven’t played to the best of our abilities. That’s the sign of a brilliant team.”
