Jermaine Pennant appears to be on his way out of Billericay Town.
The former Arsenal and Liverpool winger’s last appearance came in the Velocity Trophy victory against Wingate & Finchley on January 16. Pennant, 35, has not featured in any of the four games since and was not in the squad for Billericay’s FA Trophy ties against Harrogate Town.
And head coach Harry Wheeler has now confirmed Pennant’s future is far from certain.
“Officially he still is a Billericay player, but I don’t know if he will be here much longer,” confirmed Wheeler. “He has a few issues he needs to resolve but there is definitely a question mark over whether he will remain at the club.”
