Whitby Town general manager Lee Bullock has issued a rallying cry to Blues fans as he admits the club is under “serious financial pressure”.
The Blues, like most other sports clubs, have been hit hard by the suspension of action due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Bullock, who has been ringing round season ticket holders and supporters this week, revealed the club are exploring their options, including using the government furlough scheme, which would see 80% of their wages paid.
“The club is under serious pressure,” said Bullock, who is also boss Chris Hardy’s assistant manager.
“We’re suffering big financial losses as we have missed out on five home games, plus any other revenue that comes into the club.”
