Uxbridge FC have announced the departure of manager Tony Choules by mutual consent.

The club reluctantly felt the need to make a new appointment for the forthcoming season prior to a planned major ground redevelopment at the end of season 2020/21. Former Uxbridge player and Northwood manager Choules was appointed as George Talbot’s successor in 2006.

Under his stewardship the club reached the play-off final in the 2007–08 season, where they lost to Oxford City 1–0. The club switched to Division One Central of the Southern League at the start of the 2010–11 season and in the next season qualified for the play-offs, but lost 2–1 to Bedworth United in the semi-final.

The club did, however, win back-to-back Middlesex Senior Charity Cup’s in 2013 and 2014 and have reached the final again this season after re-joining the Bostik Isthmian League.
