Former FA Vase winner Paul Chow is amongst four players that have joined Ebac Northern League Division Two club Hebburn Town.
During his time with Whitley Bay, Chow became a three-time winner of the competition and holds the record for the fastest goals scored at Wembley Stadium.
That goal came after just twenty one seconds in the Seahorses’ 6-1 FA Vase Final win over Wroxham in 2010.
Chow will now join his hometown club from Jarrow Roofing, as the Hornets look to improve on last season’s eleventh place finish in the Northern League’s second tier.
Joining Chow at Hebburn Town will be another two players that have played for the Roofers.
Midfield duo Kris Hughes and Lee Maitland have been added to manager Scott Oliver’s squad and both come with vast experience of the Northern League.
The final addition of the quadruple signing is former South Shields and Dunston UTS midfielder Jonny Wightman.
Speaking to the club’s official website about his new signings, Oliver said “I’m really pleased to have all four of the lads on board with the club for the forthcoming season.
Paul, Jonny, Lee and Kris all bring with them a wealth of Northern League experience, of which the majority has seen them ply their trade in the First Division for many many years.
To have their quality, experience and threat in our team can only support the other squad of players we have retained from last season as we compete in the Second Division.
This club has seen some massive lows over the past couple of years but I’m pleased that through the correct structure and future plans we have, we are in a position to move the club forward by signing some good local lads to add to what we have already got.
I’m hoping for a couple more through the door before we start pre-season but overall we are certainly on a upward spiral”.
The Hornets kick off their Ebac Northern League Division Two campaign with a home fixture against Thornaby on Wednesday 9th August.
