EBAC Northern League Division Two club Blyth Town have announced that former North Shields assistant manager Andy Bowman will be part of their management team for the 2017/18 season.
The ambitious Northumberland outfit revealed the news in a tweet on Thursday night.
Bowman, a FA Vase winner in his time with the Robins, will join Connor at the end of the current campaign as they look to build upon their first season in step five of the non-league pyramid.
As well as their historic FA Vase triumph in 2015, Bowman also helped North Shields to promotion into the Northern League’s top tier in 2014 and last season they beat Blyth Spartans in the Northumberland Senior Cup Final at St James Park.
On his appointment Bowman commented “I’m really looking forward to getting started but it won’t be until next season as I am having a back operation next week.
“It was an easy decision after I met with the management team and saw their passion and honesty.
“The chairman’s forward thinking and vision for the club was incredible and something I bought into without hesitating”.
Town manager Michael Connor tweeted “Fantastic move for myself and Blyth to get Andy Bowman involved exciting times ahead”.
