Barnet have been giving an update on their player availability today, following the recent spate of COVID-19 cases within the ranks.
The Bees went into last weekend’s FA Cup encounter with Leiston without the services of nine of the first-team squad, as well as manager Peter Beadle. Their prior National League fixture with Hartlepool United had been postponed.
Today the club have said: “We’re pleased to report that the first-team squad are all doing well after several of them tested positive for COVID-19 over the recent period. The vast majority of players will return to training at the back-end of this week and will be in contention to feature in next week’s matches against Hartlepool United and Burton Albion, following the completion of their mandated self-isolation periods.
“The boss, Peter Beadle, is also reported to be doing well and will hopefully be back in the dugout for Tuesday’s game with Hartlepool United. We’d like to congratulate Steve Jenkins on his hard work in leading the team in our previous two fixtures.”
