Southern Combination League club Shoreham announced that, following Saturday`s defeat at the hands of Loxwood FC and recent form, Sammy Donnelly has stepped down as manager.

The vastly experienced Donnelly stepped up as first-team manager in May 2017 having been managing the Mussel`s under-21 side for the previous six months.

Donnelly, who stepped down from a successful `treble-winning` Shoreham side back in 1996 to leave for Worthing, has also had managerial spells at Three Bridges, Southwick and Lancing, as well as the Sussex county side, and he returned to Shoreham when it was up for sale four seasons ago.

The club will now be looking for a new long-term manager with immediate effect and candidates must contact the club with CV via email to shorehamfcyouth@gmail.com
