Vanarama National League North champions Solihull Moors will complete their first signing of the summer after agreeing terms with goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan from former league rivals Worcester City.
The 34-year-old is due to sign on the dotted line this weekend to become Marcus Bignot’s first capture ahead of the club’s debut season in the top tier of non-League football.
A summer 2015 signing from Kidderminster Harriers for whom he made twenty-eight appearances in the previous two seasons, Vaughan previously had a five-year spell with Evesham United during their groundshare at Worcester`s old ground at St Georges Lane as well as time with Leamington, Chippenham Town, Willenhall Town, Halesowen Town and Plymouth Argyle.
He became an instant Worcester `legend`, thanks to his club history-making penalty save during the 2-1 win at The Ricoh Arena against Coventry City in the First Round of the FA Cup in 2014.
He took centre stage in the FA Cup record breaking penalty shoot-out at home to Scunthorpe United in the Second Round when the score ended 13-14.
