Solihull Moors have confirmed that the club’s former goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan will not be returning to the club after all.
The 37-year-old, who even scored for Moors last season against Torquay United as they earned their first Vanarama National League win of the campaign, was due to take up the role of goalkeeping coach.
The ex-Chester FC man was announced as a member of Tim Flowers’ coaching staff earlier this summer.
However, Vaughan has now opted to continue playing and sign for Stratford Town, where he will link up with manager and former Aston Villa striker Darren Byfield. He previously made an appearance for the club in August 2016 and was named Man of the Match in a 3-2 win over Hitchin.
