Defender Matt Hill has been told he will not be offered a new contract by Tranmere Rovers and is free to join another club

Hill joined Tranmere in August 2014 and played more than forty times for the club.

The vastly experienced 35-year-old former Bristol City, Preston and Sheffield United left-back picked up an Achilles injury in his first season at the club but worked hard in the treatment room to get back on the pitch before the end of the campaign.

He made more than thirty appearances in 2015/16, scoring in the 4-1 away win at Gateshead.
