Oxford City boss Justin Merritt has completed the signing of striker Jefferson Louis from Ryman League Premier Division side Staines Town

The vastly experienced Louis, now 37 is well-known in the Oxfordshire area where he started his career at Thame United before catching the eye of Oxford United where he is best remembered for scoring the winner in a televised FA Cup derby clash against Swindon Town before his changing room celebrations at drawing Arsenal in round three went viral.

He brings with him a wealth of experience having played for a number of clubs at National League level and spent the previous two seasons in the National League South at Wealdstone

He is expected to go into Saturday’s squad to face Poole Town.
