Goole AFC have announced that manager Lee Morris has stepped down from his position at the club.

The move has been made to allow Morris to take over the vacant managerial position at Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division club Frickley Athletic.

The Vikings released a short statement on their website on Friday afternoon confirming the news.

It read “Lee Morris has today stepped down as manager to take up the vacant position at Frickley Athletic.

We would like to thank Lee for his efforts whilst at the club and wish him well in his new role at Frickley Athletic”

Frickley currently sit bottom of the Evo-Stik NPL’s top tier and travel to Blyth Spartans in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round on Saturday afternoon.

As yet Frickley have not released any announcement on their managerial position.
