Brad Walker admits moving to Wrexham has rekindled his love for football, The Leader report.

The 23-year-old midfielder only made one appearance for Crewe this season having last featured for the League Two outfit at the end of February.

Walker jumped at the chance to join Wrexham on loan in August and he has started the last 12 games, helping the Reds climb to the top of the National League.

His loan spell ends in January but Walker is enjoying his football again and would like to extend his stay at The Racecourse.

“Definitely,” said Walker. “I am loving my football again and back enjoying it.

“The back end of last season and the start of this season, I lost all interest in it really.

“I wasn’t happy, I wasn’t enjoying it, I was going in for training and it felt like I was doing it for nothing.

“But the gaffer here has given me a chance, he trusts me and he is brilliant.”
