On Saturday, Tranmere Rovers confirmed the permanent signing of 25-year-old midfielder James Wallace on an 18-month contract.
Manager Micky Mellon, who had previously worked with Wallace at his previous club Shrewsbury Town, is pleased to have been able to add him to his squad.
He said: “It’s a huge boost to everybody at the football club to sign someone of James’s quality.
“We’re pleased that we’ve been able to bring another good addition into the group.
“I’d always hoped we’d be able to sign him because we know what a quality player he is, so I’m delighted to get him on board.”
