Walthamstow say they have decided not to take part in the planned supplementary cup competition for the Essex Senior League after Easter.
The club have said as part of a statement: “We had hoped that with an extension to the season the remaining league fixtures could have been played.
“Unfortunately, the majority of ESL clubs voted that the season should be declared null and void.
“We appreciate that many supporters would have looked forward to taking part in these competitions, and we want to be playing competitive football, too.
“However, we cannot justify the financial implications of playing these additional games at a time when there are still considerable unanswered questions around crowds and hospitality.
“We look forward to returning to football in July with pre-season friendlies ahead of the 2021/22 season and the grand opening of the Always Believe Inn.”
