Jack Mackreth and David Raven will finally be able to make their Warrington Town debuts in the EVO-STIK League at North Ferriby United on Saturday.

Warrington-worldwide.co.uk reported on Wednesday that Mackreth, 26, received his clearance after travelling to London on Tuesday to meet Football Association officials having sat out the EVO-STIK League Premier Division club’s first four games of the campaign.

Both he and Raven, 33, have been waiting for international clearance from the Welsh FA since arriving at The Winner Recruitment Stadium from National League Wrexham in the summer.

The news is a big boost for manager Paul Carden who’s already lost Jack Dunn with hamstring problems and captain James McCarten to a long-term injury and is also uncertain about the future of Liam Hynes.
