Warrington Town’s Josh Amis has said that latest signing Chris Holroyd is a great addition to the squad.

Paul Carden recently signed Holroyd from Northern Premier Division rivals Stalybridge Celtic, adding competition to the forward line.

The 33-year-old played alongside Carden and Mark Beesley at Cambridge United more than a decade ago, and Amis is looking forward to working alongside his new teammate.

He told the Yellows’ website: “I think it’s a good signing, he’s been looking sharp in training.

“I think he brings something different to myself and Jordan (Buckley), so he’s a good addition to the squad.”
