Margate Manager Steve Watt and Assistant Manager Steve Brown have both signed two year deals at Hartsdown Park which will see them remain in charge until the end of the 2018/19 season.

The decision to award a new two year deal was to ensure stability at Hartsdown Park following the instillation of the 3G pitch at Hartsdown Park which is being laid this summer.

Margate Chairman Alistair Bayliss is delighted that both men have committed their futures at Hartsdown Park.

“It is fantastic that both Steve Watt and Steve Brown have put pen to paper for a minimum of two years. This will enable them to bring in their type of players knowing they’re both going to be part of this project long term”.

“The new owners have already shown their commitment to the project at Hartsdown Park by installing a new 3G pitch and there will be plenty more announcements over the coming weeks regarding other areas of the club as well as a couple of fantastic signings we hope to complete now that Watty is back from his holiday”.

“There is no doubt in my mind that this club will be moving forward at an accelerated speed and supporters and sponsors should be looking forward to the future of Margate FC”.
