Chesterfield’s Gavin Gunning has urged them not to take their eye off the ball ahead of their home match with Altrincham tonight.

A significant upturn in form has seen the Spireites move away from the relegation zone, with James Rowe’s team currently eight points off the play-off places in the National League, with games in hand on all but one of the teams above them.

Speaking ahead of the game, former Dundee United man Gunning said:

“We are at home and we have got to go and take the game to them, put the pressure on top of them and hopefully take the three points.

“That’s the simple fact about being at home. You can’t get ahead of yourselves; we are still a good way off the play-offs.”
